We are inviting compassionate, progressive and environmentally conscious corporations and individuals to partner with us as we embark on a most important endeavor.
Our hemp-based, rollerblading pilgrimage is dedicated to revealing and ending the harms of drug prohibition, restoring our civil liberties and ensuring a future rich in renewable resources for generations to come.
The Freedom Tour will begin in Victoria on June 26, 2006, travel cross-country to arrive in Ottawa on November 12, 2006. It will include a caravan of entertainers, documentary filmmakers and articulate, outspoken advocates of law reform and social justice. We will be traveling from town to town hosting rallies, forums and educational debates
Prohibition hurts everyone. We are taking this message to Parliament Hill and we will be heard. In order to finance our journey, we are seeking sponsorships from companies whose logos, message and merchandise will be featured on this tour across Canada
We are searching for members of the hemp industry who are willing to supply us with earth-friendly merchandise to include in our sponsorship kits. In return, we will promote and sell your products along our pilgrimage route. If monetary compensation is necessary, we will be happy to work out a mutually beneficial arrangement. Please consider this valuable opportunity to market your company across the country.
We also have a limited number of sponsorship spots available due to a finite amount of time and advertising space. If you would like to help sponsor this historic event please act quickly! We greatly appreciate annual contribution you would be willing to make. All contributions will go to finance the Freedom Tour and to the case of reclaiming our basic civil liberties.
We are also seeking submissions from artist, entertainers and other members of the artistic communities about how illicit drugs have affected their creative processes. Tell us all about it: the good, the bad and the ugly! We also want to post individual's stories related to drug prohibition.
Even if you cannot provide us with this kind of information, please consider taking a moment of your time writing a short note stating who you are, why you believe this tour is important and why this needs to be successful.

Freedom Tour Begins !
First update from the Road to Freedom.
Neil is rolling ! I received a message from Neil who was rolling down a hill at the time on the way to Duncan, after getting started at the Parliament Buildings in Victoria BC.
Neil is being 'spotted' by the Reverend "Rasta" Deveen who is driving the support van behind Neil as he makes his way along the highways and byways of Canada.
This may be a real adventure for them as the Rev. has a licence but has never driven a standard before setting out across Canada on this first ever Freedom Tour.
(almost a glitch....a belt slipped off the alternator and the mechanic tried to sell them a $350 alternator with the advice to go home fast after replacing it...but Neil was savvy and spotted the slipped belt...saving the entire trip....)
Neil reports that he is sporting his new Hemp shirt and shorts and the van is all decked out with signs.
Neil will be back in Vancouver to celebrate Cannabis Day with all his friends at the Art Gallery (2pm) and then heading out for the wilds of BC the next day as he makes his way to Ottawa.
Please send a donation if you can to help this tour along.
peace and freedom to all,
cannagirl
